Direct On Line (D.O.L.), 직입기동 모터에 다이렉트로 전압을 인가하는 방법(D.O.L)에는 또 Y-기동법과 델타-기동법이 있습니다. Y결선법은 상전압이 선간전압의 루트 3분에 1배 정도입니다. 다시말하면 선간에는 440V가 인가된다고 하더라고 각 상에는 그보다 적은 전압이 걸린다는 의미입니다. 반면, 델타 기동법은 상전압이 선간전압과 같습니다. 즉, 초기 시동 전류는 Y-기동법이 델타 기동법에 비해 적다는 소리죠. 상기 두가지 기동법을 조합한 것이 Y-델타 기동법으로 중형 모터를 기동하는 방식으로 주로 많이 사용되었습니다. 초기에 Y-기동하여 초기 시동부하로 인한 과전류를 방지하고 어느정도 토크가 생기면 델타-기동법으로 전환하는 방식입니다. 아래는 현재 진행중인 프로젝트의 모터 스펙에서 발췌한 내용임.
